Search¶
Press Ctrl+F to open the search bar at the top of the comparison panels. Searching scans the content of both sides simultaneously and highlights every match in the comparison view.
Opening and Closing Search¶

If the search bar is already open, pressing Ctrl+F again moves focus back to the search field.
Navigating Matches¶

The comparison scrolls to centre the active match in view. If the match is inside a collapsed unchanged section, that section expands automatically.
The search bar shows the current position as N of M. When there are no matches the bar shows No results.
Match Highlighting¶
- The active match is highlighted at full opacity.
- Other matches are highlighted at reduced opacity so they are visible but do not compete for attention.
- Highlights clear when you close the search bar.
Search Behaviour¶
- Search is case-insensitive.
- Search covers all visible lines on both sides, including unchanged lines.
- The search query resets when a new comparison is loaded.
