Context Menu Integration

Once registered, right-clicking any file or folder in your OS file manager shows Diffract entries so you can open a comparison without switching to the app first.

If Diffract is already running when a context menu entry is used, the comparison opens in the existing window. Otherwise a new window launches.

To register:

1. Open Settings → System Integration.
2. Click Register context menu.

Entries added:

• Select left for Diffract - always visible; stores the selected path as the left side.
• Compare with left in Diffract - visible only after a left path has been stored; opens the comparison immediately.
• Compare in Diffract - appears instead of the above two entries when exactly two files are selected; opens both in a single step.

To remove: open Settings → System Integration and click Remove context menu.
