PDF¶

Supported formats: .pdf.

Set both sides to .pdf files. Diffract extracts the text content from each page and renders it for comparison.

Pages are compared sequentially. The comparison view shows both documents page by page in aligned panels.
Changed text within a page is highlighted.
Use the page navigation controls to move between pages.

Extracted text content. Layout, images, fonts, and vector graphics are not compared.

Note

PDF text extraction works best on text-based PDFs. Scanned PDFs (image-only) will appear as empty pages.
